Training in jiu-jitsu is one of the best gifts you can give your child. It builds confidence, discipline, and respect while teaching practical self-defense skills in a safe, structured environment. Kids learn how to stay calm under pressure, solve problems, and develop resilience—on and off the mat. Plus, it’s a fun way to stay active, make friends, and grow both physically and mentally.

When do you train?

  • All kids’ classes are held 5x a week, Monday - Friday, between 4:15 pm and 7:15 pm, offering more time on the mats to train at a great rate.

  • For those with a busy schedule, we offer 13 classes throughout the week in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

Our Programs

  • A martial arts instructor demonstrating a technique with a foam stick to a group of children in gi uniforms at a martial arts dojo.

    Tiny Grapplers (ages 4-5)

The tiny grapplers program is designed to introduce young children to BJJ in a fun and interactive way. Through engaging games, kids learn core movements and foundational skills in BJJ, along with disciple and respect and self defense.

  • Four children practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a gym, two grappling in the foreground and two standing in the background, with a digital clock showing -9:41 on the wall.

    Little Warriors (ages 6-8)

The Little Warriors program focuses on teaching children the fundamental techniques of BJJ, including select submission holds. In addition to technical skills, this class emphasizes self-defense, equipping kids to handle potential bullying situations outside the Academy. All of this is done in a supportive and enjoyable environment, where kids can learn while having fun with their friends.

  • Group of children and a woman in karate uniforms standing in a martial arts dojo, posing for a photo with thumbs up and fists raised.

    Young Gunz (ages 9-12)

The Young Gunz program is designed to challenge teens as they advance in their BJJ training. In this class, students practice drills, learn advanced techniques, and participate in live training sessions, similar to those in the adult classes. As in all aspects of the Academy, the Lions program emphasizes key martial arts values: discipline, respect, and perseverance.

  • Martial arts students and instructor practicing techniques in a gym with exposed ceiling beams.

    Adult/Teens (ages 13+)

We emphasize advanced concepts that help you build your own game plan, better understand the art itself, and develop strategies to create a strong foundation. This foundation will make it easier to learn more advanced techniques later on. All levels are welcome in this class, from white belt to Black Belt!
